Before Your Appointment
A 10% deposit is due at booking to reserve your appointment. It is applied to your total at the appointment.
My travel, after-hours, courier and officiant fees are separate from Texas notarial fees. I quote them before I travel and you agree to them in advance.
Every invoice I give you itemizes each notarial act and each separate fee.
Every signer must appear before me in person (or by Texas online notarization, if I offer it) with a current government-issued photo ID or U.S. passport, or with a credible witness. I cannot notarize for someone who is not present.
I notarize documents you bring. I do not prepare, select, or explain legal documents, and I cannot choose the notarial certificate for you.
I accept cash, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal and tap to pay.
Texas notarial fees are set by Texas Government Code §406.024: acknowledgments $10 for the first signature and $1 for each additional signature; oaths and affirmations $10; certificates under seal $10; copies of notary records $1 per page; protests $4; other notarial acts $10. Online notarizations may add up to $25 (§406.111).
Good to Know
- Texas home-equity loans and home-equity lines of credit must be signed at the office of the lender, an attorney, or a title company. I cannot bring those closings to your home.
- I conduct wedding ceremonies as an ordained minister through Universal Life Church Monastery, not as a notary. Texas law sets a 72-hour wait after the license is issued, the license expires in 90 days, and I return your signed license to the county clerk within 30 days.
- Apostilles are issued only by the Texas Secretary of State, which charges $15 per document. I notarize your document and prepare the request for you. Mailed requests can take up to two weeks after the Secretary of State receives them.
- Ink fingerprinting is done on FD-258 cards at your location. I am an independent fingerprint technician and am not affiliated with the Texas Department of Public Safety or the FBI. Please confirm with the agency requesting your prints that it accepts ink cards.
- For Form I-9, I act as the employer's authorized representative and complete Section 2 on the employer's behalf. This is not a notarial act and I do not notarize or seal the form.
- Hospital and jail notarizations depend on the facility's access rules, the signer's photo identification, and the signer's ability to understand and willingly sign. I confirm access with the facility before I dispatch.
